Can I express preferences when it comes to my training schedule?
Bart will work with you towards your goals. Since he’s the specialist, he will decide how to get you there. But he does listen to your preferences and can integrate your personal wishes into your training schedule.
Can I bring someone to train with me?
Of course you can. The rates are for 1 hour, whether you come alone, or with 2 or 10 other people. But you have to understand that Bart’s attention will be divided too, and this risks to slow down your learning process.
What’s the minimum age for training at your facilities?
Most kids can start around the age of five.Even in a playful learning process it is important that the child can focus.
I am physically not well. Can you coach me?
Everything depends on the problem. Bart strives to draw an individual training schedule that fits you. He always starts with basic exercises to test your level. If he sees any problems there, he will work on alternatives.
What do the lessons consist of?
This depends on your personal goals and your overall level of fitness.
Am I not too old for combat sports?

I am afraid that my arms/legs will become too muscled. Will they?
You will never win a body building contest with the muscles you build with Bart. You will, of course, look tighter and your body will have tone and definition.
Am I strong enough? Will I get stronger?

How big is the risk at injuries?
The risk to get injured always exists when doing sports, but it is clear that we try to avoid this at any time. The more students in a class, the less Bart can focus on your individual training and safety. You will have to work out with co-students who are not as experienced as Bart is.
Will there be enough variation in my training schedule?
Too much variation too fast will make it impossible for you to build up technique. Routine makes sure you perform the exercises in the correct way. In the beginning, you will not build strength. Once you master the technique, you start building up force and muscles. But rest assured that it will never get boring.
Will the lessons get boring after a while?

Do you take into account my age and physical condition while drawing my training schedule?
Bart’s coaching sessions are based on a personal approach. Of course he will consider your age and all of your other individual specifics.
How long will it take before I can defend myself?
This depends on your natural talents. On average you can see someone who works out for 6 to 8 months can defend himself in a real life situation.
How many coaching sessions do I need to have on a weekly basis?
Once a week is better than nothing, twice a week is what we call ‘maintenance’, and from 3 times a week and up you can expect serious progress in a short period of time. The more time and energy you put into the sessions, the more result you can expect.
What are the physical and mental effects of coaching sessions?
A good shape and control over effective combat techniques will improve your self-image. You build up self-confidence and will overcome your fears.
Will all those work-outs make my muscles sore?
You will of course feel that you have been working out. But a decent cooldown and stretching can make this discomfort go away very quickly. In your individual training schedule we will work with alternating muscle groups and intensity to avoid your muscles feeling sore.
Do I need to take food supplements to get better results?
What you eat is critical to your overall health and well-being. Supplements are no guarantee for better nor quicker results.
Can you give me a diet?
Bart can do that, if you like. But he’s really more in favor of a healthy lifestyle instead of a real diet.
Can you provide me with a training program that I can take up outside our coaching sessions together?
If you like, Bart gives you homework to work at your body in between sessions, yes.
